Akshay Kumar is currently gearing up for the release of his fourth film this year. Good Newwz movie is the story of two couples who undergo IVF treatment. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Media, Akshay Kumar revealed how he agreed to do the film.
A comedy-drama film being made on the concept of IVF is new to Bollywood. So, when Akshay Kumar was asked what encouraged him to say yes to the film, he said that the concept is what attracted him. He said, “Concept is very important. I didn’t even know about the script. I heard three minutes of the narration from Karan Johar. Only 3 minutes. I did not hear any more than that and decided to do the film.”
Kareena Kapoor Khan plays Akshay Kumar’s wife in the film. The actress was the first one to sign the project. Talking about why she agreed to do the film, Kareena said, “I was the first one to sign the film. When I heard the script, it was so much fun and very interesting. And after Udta Punjab, I wanted to do something funny. And I knew if I wanted to work with Akshay, it has to be in this space (comedy), which is his USP and films in which the audience like to see him.”

Good Newwz also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani who play the other couple. The film directed by Raj Mehta and co-produced by Karan Johar’s banner Dharma Productions is slated to hit the theatres on December 27,2019.

Kareena Kapoor’s next film Good Newwz movie 2019 is releasing in December this year and rumor have it that Kareena’s two-year-old son Taimur will feature in a small role in it.
However, Kareena dismissed the reports of Taimur’s cameo in Good News in an interview to Mumbai Mirror in this week and said: “Not at all, why would he do that? just for comedy” Taimur frequently accompanied Kareena to the sets of Good News and pictures of the toddler spending time with his mother in between shots often found a spot on the list of trends.
Good News is based on the subject of surrogacy and it also stars Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani.
Speaking about the film, Kareena said: “ Good Newwz movie has ‘great’ written all over it, be it the cast, the director or the producer.
Even the concept of surrogacy is amazing, though it’s going to be a really funny movie in this Christmas. I can’t wait to see how people react to it.” The film is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and it is produced by Karan Johar.
Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor is currently on a out of india in vacation in Tuscany with her husband Saif Ali Khan and son Taimur. The 38-year-old actress karina kapoor has a hectic schedule once she returns from her vacation.
Kareena has a 10-12 days schedule in London for Angrezi Medium, starring Irrfan Khan while she has also signed up for Takht, to be directed by Karan Johar.
