Evil Dead 1981 Movie Storyline
Ash Williams, his fiancée Linda, sister Cheryl, their buddy Scott, and Scott’s girlfriend Shelly are five students from Michigan State University who are on vacation at a remote cabin in rural Tennessee. The gang approaches the cabin and finds the porch swing swinging on its own, then stops when Scott clutches the doorknob.
Cheryl is sketching a clock when it pauses, and a faint demonic voice tells her to “join us” as it continues. Her hand sketches an image of a book with a demonic visage on its cover while becoming possessed, turning pallid. She is shaken, but she doesn’t bring up the event.
Shelly, Linda, and Cheryl are upstairs as the cellar trapdoor flies open during supper, leaving Ash and Scott to look about the cellar. They discover the Naturom Demonto, a Sumerian translation of the Egyptian Book of the Dead, and steal the tape recorder belonging to archaeologist Raymond Knowby upstairs.
