Upcoming Bollywood Movies 2020 : In 2019 turned out to be a pretty great year for Bollywood in terms of both, the box-office numbers and content. It was great to see content-driven films like Bala, housefull 3 and Dabangg 3 to be so well received by the audience. And with 2020 around the corner, fans are obviously excited to see what the new year has in store for us.

1. Bhangra Paa Le

Director: Sneha Taurani
Cast: Sunny Kaushal, Naila Grewal, Mark Bennington and Shriya Pilgaonkar

The Upcoming Bollywood Movies 2020 a rivalry between two individuals played by Sunny Kaushal and Naila Grewal. Along with the drive to beat their competition, the determination to prove that they belong at the big stage pushes them to their extreme limits.

2. Sab Kushal Mangal

Director: Karan Vishwanath Kashyap
Cast: Akshaye Khanna, Priyaank Sharma and Riva Kishan

Sab Kushal Mangal is a love triangle with a comic twist. Debutante Priyanka Sharma plays the character of Pappu Mishra in the film and hosts the reality show Musibat Odh Li Maine. A politician named Baba Bhandari (Akshaye Khanna) ends up kidnapping him. During all the drama, the two end up falling for the same girl.

3. Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior

Director: Om Raut
Cast: Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan and Kajol
Release Date: 10 January 2020

Apart from bringing back the pairing of Ajay Devgn and Kajol on the big screen, Tanhaji: tells the story of Tanaji Malusare, who was the military leader of king Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. In the upcoming Bollywood movie, we see Tanhaji go head to head with Uday Bhan (Saif Ali Khan) with an aim to protect southern India from a Mughal invasion.

4. Chhapaak

Director: Meghna Gulzar
Cast: Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey
Release Date: 10 January 2020

In Chhapaak, Deepika plays the character of Malti inspired by the acid attack survivor Laxmi Aggarwal. Vikrant is seen as Amol, a social activist and Deepika’s love interest in the film. The upcoming Bollywood movie aims to show us that how an act like this goes to have drastic consequences in the victim’s life.

5. Jai Mummy Di

Director: Navjot Gulati

Cast: Sunny Singh, Sonnalli Seygall, Poonam Dhillon and Supriya Pathak

Release Date:17 January 2020

Marriage is not only a union of two individuals but also two families. So, at times you are bound to expect some misunderstandings between the two. In the film, we see the mothers of a boy and girl get into a war of words. The upcoming Bollywood movie is a light-hearted romantic comedy.

6. Ae Kash Ke Hum

Director: Vishal Mishra

Cast: Vivaan Shah, Priya Singh and Sophia Singh

Release Date:17 January 2020

Ae Kash Ke Hum is a tale of three close friends and their love and fate. Pari (Priya Singh) falls for her classmate Aysush (Vivaan Shah). But, when she confesses her feelings, it’s already too late. However, fate brings him back into her life but this time things are extremely different.

7. Malang

Director: Mohit Suri

Cast: Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani and Kunal Khemu

Release Date: 14 February 2020

Malang is a romantic thriller that’ll be releasing on Valentines Day next year. The film brings back the successful duo of Aditya Roy Kapur and Mohit Suri, who delivered the smash hit Aashiqui 2.

8. Panga

Director: Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari

Cast: Kangana Ranut, Jassie Gill, Richa Chadha, Neena Gupta and Pankaj Tripathi

Sanjay Gupta sure loves gang wars and now he’s all set with another addition to the list. The upcoming Bollywood movie takes us back to the 80a and 90s where mills were being shut down for malls and high rise buildings.

9. Chhalaang

Director: Hansal Mehta

Cast: Rajkummar Rao, Nushrat Bharucha and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub

Release Date: 31 January 2020

Chhalaang brings back the successful combination of Rajkummar Rao and Hansal Mehta on the big screen. The film is said to be a social comedy based in a small town in Uttar Pradesh.

10. Jawaani Jaaneman

Director: Nitin Kakkar

Cast: Saif Ali Khan, Tabu and Alaia Furniturewala

Release Date: 31 January 2020

Jawaani Jaaneman marks Saif Ali Khan’s second release of the year. In the film, Saif Ali Khan and debutante Alaia Furniturewala will be seen playing a father-daughter duo. Tabu is also said to have an interesting role in the film.

11. AajKal

Director: Imtiaz Ali

Cast: Kartik Aaryan, Sara Ali Khan and Randeep Hooda

Release Date: 14 February 2020

#AajKal is reportedly a sequel to Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal which starred Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone. Like the prequel, this one too is expected to depict the complications that exist in the relations of modern day couples.

12. Bhoot

Director: Bhanu Pratap Singh

Cast: Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Ashutosh Rana

Release Date: 21 February 2020

Dharma is known for its larger than life films but with Bhoot, they’re stepping into the territory of horror. Starring Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Ashutosh Rana, the film is a first of a planned horror film franchise.

13. Gunjan Saxena

Director: Sharan Sharma
Cast: Janhvi Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Angad Bedi, Vineet Kumar Singh and Manav Vij
Release Date: 13 March 2020

Like the title suggestsc Gunjan Saxena , the film is based on the life of the first Indian Air Force woman officer who went to war. During the Kargil war in 1999, Gunjan flew the Cheetah aircraft in combat zone and also rescued several soldiers stuck up there.

15. Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan

Director: Hitesh Kewalya
Cast: Ayushmann Khurrana, Jitendra Kumar, Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta
Release Date: 21 February 2020

After the success of Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, the makers of the film are back with a fresh concept in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. The sequel deals with the concept of homosexuality and will have Ayushmann playing a homosexual for the first time on screen.
